Pin grading guide

Please note that each enamel pins are individually handmade and therefore will  never be entirely perfect.

Standard/A-grade pins:

These pins are almost perfect with minor imperfections. Some examples of imperfection may include:

- light scratches on the metal plating

- tiny pores or dust on enamel

- tiny specs or dots on enamel

- minor areas of uneven filling of color

-minor imperfections in screen-printed details

-small dents on metal or enamel

B-grade pins:

These pins have noticable defects and are therefore offered at a lower price. They are still looking for their forever homes though! Some examples of imperfection may include:

- under/non-filled areas

-noticable or multiple specs of dust or pores

-noticable scratches or marks

-obvious paint smudges or staining

-obvious imperfections in screen-printed details 

-obvious metal chippings or dents on metal or enamel

C-grade pins:

These pins have major noticeable defects and are therefore heavily discounted. Although they are at the bottom of the grading list, most of them still look good. Some examples of imperfection may include: 

-completely unfilled areas

-heavily misaligned or scratched screenprinting

-large dents on metal or enamel

-deformed rubber back post
